Apple iPhones - What’s All The Excitement?
Edsel. New Coke. Apple Ipod?
After all the publicity surrounding Apple’s new iPhone the public opinion is in, and people are sorely disappointed in the device. Making it similar in reputation to the Edsel car which received it’s bad name after a former Ford family member dodged the draft, or the New Coke which really tasted like Pepsi. However, the iPhone has still made an incredible amount of money for Apple. Evidently, consumers are interested in just how bad a cell phone could be.
Can the Apple iPhone work with other devices correctly?
One of the most popular viral videos since the phone’s much-hyped 2007 release is that of a blender seller, who put an iPhone in a blender and turned on the machine. This was done to show off the strength of the blender, but also seemed to be more than a cutting review of the Apple iPhone by the blender seller. This video quickly became widely popular even more so than the Blendtec blender he was selling, which was a strong indication that many other viewers felt the same way, or at least could relate to his humorous way of showing his dissatisfaction in Apple’s new iPhone.
Maybe next time, Steve Jobs
If you want to read some of the reviews on Apple iPhones, you could go to the Cnet.com website for several ’geek reports’, just be prepared for the upper techno-jargon used because it can be tough to understand. To really get a good idea on Apple’s iPhone you should talk to friends that already have one, then find out what they think about the product, or you can read reviews online that voice the opinion of the average person. You can find them practically anywhere online by just typing " Apple iPhone review " into your favorite search engine.
One review can be found on Helium.com written by Cara Volle. Her comments begin first by telling Steve Jobs in her own words how much she hates his iPhone. Although not exactly Pulitzer Prize winning material, it does give you an indication about how good a gizmo an iPhone could be.
Complaints about the iPhone from others have ranged from its choice of AT&T as network provider to the cost. Many have also complained about the camera function not being up to par, and the much anticipated video capability which still had some work to be done before it should have been released to the public. There’s also a disturbing trend for the iPhone to get physically very hot when in use. Another alarming fact is that well known computer security specialist have now found ways to hack into the Apple iPhone, which means others could do the same.
Most of the time when a new technical device hits the market, there are sure to be some unforeseen problems arise simply because of the thousands of consumers who use it. Before purchasing your Apple iPhone, I would suggest waiting about one year so they can work out all the bugs and then create a much better product, one you may find worth waiting for.
