Surrounding the unveiling of the 4gb iPhone was a considerable amount of expectation, enthusiasm and excitement.   The iPhone was to be an all in one communication device with the icing on the top being the incorporation of the music player.

The reality of the iPhone having only 4gb affected the future of the 4gb iPhone.  Two months following the unveiling of this iPhone it was announced that this particular model of the iPhone would no longer be produced.

This of course affected the selling price of the 4gb iPhone.  Originally, when the iPhone hit the market the selling price was set at around $499.00.   With the determination that the memory was not sufficient the resulting decision was to stop production of this model.  Because of this decision a 4gb iPhone can be purchased for about $200 less.

A Brief History of the Apple iPhone

Apple has a long standing reputation for always coming out with modern products that are geared to cater to the masses. Before the Apple iPhone was released in June 2007 there was a lot of commotion about what it would be like and what type of particular details the new product would have. The iPhone Beginning

The vision for the Apple iPhone was eventually thought of after Steve Jobs, CEO of Apple, had a conference meeting with some of the engineers to start researching ways to develop the touch screen which was most likely intended for Apple’s tablet PC. However, in April 2003, he declared in a conference that the development of traditional PDAs or tablet PCs was not the way ahead for Apple.

New innovations perhaps lie in the realm of cell phones, and technologies that are connected to them and should be improved upon. In January 2007 during the MacWorld Expo, Apple announced it’s soon to be released new iPhone product would be available by June 2007. It was also declared in a later conference that the Apple iPhone will support third parties creating Web 2.0 applications, of which users would be able to access on the internet.

Made Public and More Developments

Apple iPhone eventually went on sale June 29, 2007 in the United States, and hundreds of people reportedly lined up in front of the shops to be able to grab the new Apple iPhone as soon as possible. The iPhone was originally released in two variations, one, with a flash drive of 4 GB for $499 and the 8 GB version for $599, however the sales of the 8 GB far outnumbered the other one, which was eventually discontinued.
